How do I measure for my Knix bra size?

Follow these measurement instructions to get your perfect fit:

Underbust measurement: Wrap a measuring tape directly below your breasts (at rib cage), parallel to the floor, tightly take a deep breath, release and write down that measurement. If applicable, round up to the nearest even number to get your band size.

For example: Underbust measured 30” + 2” = 32 band

For example: Underbust measured 31” = 32 band

Full bust measurement: Wearing a non-padded bra, wrap the measuring tape across the fullest part of your breasts. Keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor and close to your body to get your measurement.

For example: Full bust measurement = 35”

Determining your bra size: Take the initial underbust measurement, minus full bust measurement to get your bra size. Each inch equals a cup size, so 1”=A, 2”=B, 3”=C...etc.

For example: Underbust 30” minus full bust measurement 35” = 32D / Knix size 4

What's my Knix bra size?

Can you explain Knix wireless bra sizing?

The way that we size our bras at Knix is to allow different body types to fit into one size. The flexible 5 row hook & eye back closure accommodates your personal preference and level of comfort for the underband.

Do you make an underwire bra?

No, all Knix bras are wireless! Wireless bras give you freedom to move and feel your most comfortable and confident self.

Some of your bras are measured 1-8++ and some in XXS-XXXXL++. Do I measure the same for both?

Yes, you do.

Your underband measurement will equal an alpha size.

For example:

XXS =28Band, XS=30Band, S=32Band, M=34Band, L=36Band, XL=38Band, XXL=40Band, XXXL= 42Band

Regular size cups cover = A - DD

Plus sizes cups cover = E - G

How do I find my size for an exchange?

We recommend scheduling a Virtual Fitting with a Knix Expert or consulting with a team member in-store.

I have noticed gaping on the sides of my wireless bra, what do I do?

We find that gaping in the armpit area can mean that the band of the bra is fitting too large. So, we recommend tightening the band of the bra and adjusting the straps so you have a snug but comfortable fit.

Wearing the bra for the first week is also helpful to allow the bra to relax and mould to your natural shape!

Try making sure:

a) The strap is well adjusted and tightened to minimize the side wing gaping.

b) Adjusting and tightening the underband.

What is your most supportive wireless bra? Or “I am fuller chested, what bra would you recommend for me?”

If you are looking for a high impact, full coverage bra, our Catalyst Sports Bra cannot be beat. We recommend checking out the Front Zip style - a customer favorite for comfort and support!

More generally, you will need to determine the end use of the bra, for example:

For a sports bra, we recommend the Catalyst or Front Zip Catalyst.

For your everyday bra, we recommend the Pullover Bra. Or, if you are looking for adjustability, the Evolution Bra, Padded V-Neck Bra or WingWoman Bra.

What are your wire free bras made of?

All Knix bras (with the exception of the Longevity Bra) are made with bonding technologythat creates a comfortable seamless fit and surprisingly solid support without using an underwire. Most of our wire free bras are made of a nylon and spandex blend. For the specific fabric content, please refer to the dropdown on the product's page under "Fabric and Care". Any metal hardware on the bra is nylon coated iron.

My new wire free bra feels tight, do I need a new size?

We recommend:

Wear the bra on the last hook & eye to keep it loose.

Schedule a Virtual Fitting to confirm you have the right size.

Wash and wear it - it’s been designed to adapt to your shape.

If the band of the bra is fitting snug, consider trying a band extender!

How do I wash my wire free bra?

Washing your wire free bra shouldn't be complicated, so we designed our products to be super easy to wash and care for. For best results, machine wash on cold with mild detergent, and either tumble dry on low or lay flat to dry. That's it!

I measure a 28 band what bra would you recommend for me?

Our Infinity Bra & Catalyst front zip bras are designed for smaller band sizes!

Can I return my wire free bra?

All Knix bras & tops (including bodysuits) are eligible for return or exchange within 30 days of delivery. We want to make sure you can give your new top time to mold to your shape and get comfortable. Do what you want to do in it, and wash it as much as you like. If you find the fit still isn't right, message us to get a personal fit consultation before returning for the right size.
